Loew, The Beneventan Script, p. 9, il serait seulement contemporain de l’oeuvre; d’après H. Droysen, op. cit. infra, p. lxii n. 28, il aurait servi de modèle au ms. Bamberg, Staatsbibl., Hist. 2 (E. III. 13), du XIe s.
Possesseurs: abbaye bénédictine de Corvey, à laquelle le manuscrit a été donné par un empereur Henri, qui serait Henri II (1014-1024) selon E. M. Bannister, op. cit. infra, ou Henri III (1039-1056) selon P. Lehmann, Corveyer Studien, d’après la note du f. 1: «Heinricus imperator istum dedere dinoscitur librum », suivi de cette addition contemporaine: «monasterio sanctorum Martyrorum Stephani Viti Iustini atque Dionysii » (XIe s.); à Corvey le manuscrit a été étudié par un certain Lippold, qui signe au f. 1: «Hoc libro Lippoldus decanus studuit » (XIIIe s.?); bibliothèque palatine de Heidelberg (au f. I cote du transfert: C. 38/160).
