Origine: italienne (Sienne ?), écriture humanistique cursive. Selon R. Avesani, op. cit. infra, ce manuscrit et le ms. Chigi H. VII. 223, qui a le même filigrane, auraient été copiés par le même «Philippus» qui a signé le ms. Chigi A. VI. 177; selon J. Ruysschaert, op. cit. infra, la décoration est peut-être d’Andrea da Firenze qui travailla à Rome pour Pie II.
Possesseurs: Agostino Patrizi Piccolomini, dont les armes sont peintes au f. 1: fascé d’argent et de sable de six pièces, et dont l’ex-libris se lit au f. IV v°: «A. Patricii Episcopi Pientini»; le cardinal Fabio Chigi, dont les armes sont dorées au fer sur le dos restauré de la reliure (cotes ancienne 353, moyenne 1955).
