Le ms. provient de l'abbaye cistercienne Notre-Dame de Châalis (Oise), dont il porte l'ex-libris du XIIIe siècle, "Liber iste est beata Virgo Maria Karoli loci" (f. 9v). Au début du XVIIe siècle, il est passé dans les collections du prieuré de Saint-Martin-des-Champs (Paris), qui récupéra de nombreux débris de la bibliothèque de Châalis.
