Ce manuscrit a fait l’objet d’une notice dans le cadre du projet MANNO (Manuscrits notés en neumes en Occident).

Ce recueil factice de frg. est entré en possession de Pierre Daniel(1530-1603) ; des notes de sa main se rencontrent passim. Il a ensuite appartenu à Pierre Pithou(1539-1596), puis à Jacques-Auguste de Thou(1553-1617), qui a acquis vers 1596 la plupart des anciens mss de Pierre Pithou. L'ex-libris de de Thou a été effacé (f. 1r), mais le ms. est répertorié dans l'inventaire fait par P. Dupuy en 1617 (Paris, BNF, Dupuy 653), sous le n° [543] (Rosanbo n° 269). En 1680, il a été acheté par Jean-Baptiste Colbertavec les autres mss. de Thou. Il a enfin été acquis par la Bibliothèque du roi en 1732 avec les mss. de Colbert.
