Origine: italienne, écriture humanistique cursive. Le manuscrit a été écrit sous le pontificat de Nicolas V (1447-1455) d'après cette seconde partie du titre du f. 1: «... SCRIPTVS TEMPORE ET FAVORE DIVI NICOLAI PAPAE QVINTI».
Possesseur: acquis pendant le règne de Nicolas V († 1455), le manuscrit est attesté dans les inventaires de 1455, 1475 (éd. p. 224, l. 11), 1481 (f. 40v°, l. 3-4), 1518 (f. 18v°, l. 8-9), 1533 et 1550 (où il portait le n° 799).
