L'attribution du sermon pour la fête de saint Grégoire le Grand, "Clama ne cesses" (ff. 81-84v), à Richard de Saint-Victor demeure douteuse, selon J. Châtillon, qui propose les noms de Geoffroy de Melrose, Geoffroy d'Auxerre ou Aelred de Rievaulx. Notas caractéristiques de Châalis.

Le ms. provient de l'abbaye cistercienne Notre-Dame de Châalis (Oise). Il est ensuite passé dans les collections duprieuré de Saint-Martin-des-Champs (Paris) qui récupéra au début du XVIIe siècle de nombreux débris de la bibliothèque de Châalis.
