Origine: italienne (Sienne ?), écriture humanistique cursive. Selon R. Avesani, op. cit. infra, ce manuscrit et le ms. Chigi H. VII. 221, qui ont le même filigrane, auraient été copiés par le même «Philippus» qui a signé le ms. Chigi A. VI. 177; selon J. Ruysschaert, op. cit. infra, la décoration est peut-être d’Andrea da Firenze comme celle du ms. Chigi H. VII. 221.
Possesseurs: Agostino Patrizi Piccolomini, dont les armes sont peintes au f. 1 (cf. supra, Chigi H. VII. 221) et dont l’ex-libris se lit au f. II v°: «A. Patricii Episcopi Pientini»; le cardinal Fabio Chigi, dont les armes sont dorées au fer sur le dos restauré de la reliure (cotes ancienne 358, moyenne 1960).
