  • Liber introductorii majoris in magisterio scientiae astrorum e dictione Albumasar et interpretatione Johannis Yspalensis [Hispani] ex arabico in latinum. Liber experimentorum Albumasar. Liber de operatione astrolabii [ejusdem]. Liber de constructione astrolabii [Johannis Hispani]. Liber de operatione astrolabii [Messahalae]. Written by Guidotus, surgeon of Vicenza. Written in a gothic script in double column 46-48 lines to a column. Capitals in alternate red and blue, some paragraph marks in blue and red; headings in red. Large initials in gold, with decoration in red on ff. 19, 55, 69, 82v, 85, 92v, 94v. That on fol. 69 surmounted by a line drawing of a bear sejant rampant holding a globe. Astrological tables on ff. 29, 29v and 31, in red and black. Zodiacal figure on fol. 82v, and circular diagram of months on fol. 92v. The inserted leaves are written apparently by Alessandro Padoani whose signature is on fol. 3, and may be dated c. 1600. The first 4 ll.-inserted between fol. 2 and fol. 3-are headed 'Scriptoris incuria quae hic scripta sunt omissa fuerunt [in] lib. V differentia quarta...' The other 8 leaves-inserted between fol. 18 and fol. 19-contain a continuation of the text from the first 'differentia' to the end of the third 'tractatus'. The first two vellum leaves are not foliated, but the text begins on a leaf foliated 3. Fol. 1 Blank. 2 Table of Properties in five columns. 2v Four lines of owner's inscriptions erased.
