Origine: écriture humanistique ronde italienne, mais le copiste Johann Kessler de Montabaur (Hesse-Nassau), prêtre, qui signe et date au f. 148, était allemand: «EXPLICIT FELICITER MCCCCLV MENSIS AVGVSTI Iohannes Caldarificis de Monthabur presbyter scripsit». Le manuscrit a peut-être été décoré par Jacopo da Fabriano ou dans son atelier (cf. J. Ruysschaert, Miniaturistes romains...).
Possesseurs: Niccolò Perotti († 1480), dont les armes sont peintes au f. 1 (cf. supra, Borgia lat. 423); au dos de la reliure fragment d’étiquette portant les initiales «C. S.» biffées (cf. supra, Ottob. lat. 1409); Giovanni Angelo duc d’Altemps (dos de la reliure à ses armes); le cardinal P. Ottoboni (cote de Bianchini: S. 7. 58).
