La notation neumatique est caractéristique de celle employée à Corbie aux XIe et XIIe s.

Le ms. provient de l'abbaye Saint-Pierre de Corbie , où il a été copié. Il porte l'ancienne cote de ce monastère, "L21" (ff. 2 et 41v), ainsi que l'ex-libris du XVIIIe s., "Monasterii Sancti Petri Corbeiensis" (f. 1). Lors de la Révolution, le ms. fut porté en 1791 à la bibliothèque d'Amiens, puis, en 1803, à la Bibliothèque nationale avec 74 autres mss. de même provenance. C'est à la suite de son entrée à la B.N. qu'il a reçu la cote "Corbie 8".
