Le manuscrit a été produit en Angleterre dans la seconde moitié du XIIe siècle. Il a appartenu à la bibliothèque de Notre-Dame de Paris, dont la cote ancienne est inscrite au f. 1r et sur le verso du premier feuillet de garde supérieure, « A 25 ».
