Origine: italienne, écritures humanistiques rondes. D’après un renseignement communiqué par A. C. de la Mare, le manuscrit est l’oeuvre de trois copistes: le premier (f. 1-37 et f. 174, l. 8-257) a peut-être transcrit également le ms. Pal. lat. 1029; le second (f. 38-109) a copié aussi le ms. Pal. lat. 1495, f. 27, l. 14-184 (cf. supra); le troisième a copié les f. 110-274 l. 8.
Possesseurs: Giannozzo Manetti; Ulrich Fugger (au f. II v° cote incomplète: 16 ‹Man.›, au f. I v° cote du transfert: p. 153 F. n° 12); bibliothèque palatine de Heidelberg (au f. II v° note concernant l’édition Gruter: «Palatinus hic vocatur a Grutero in Cicerone in Tusculanis ibi enim est numero quintus; in senectute ibi enim est tertius; in paradoxis tertius; in finibus tertius; in natura tertius; in legibus tertius » (cf. supra, Pal. lat. 1459), au f.
