Ce volume d’Héphestion, qui a été copié dans la seconde moitié du XVe siècle, constituait le premier tome de cet auteur dans la bibliothèque de Fontainebleau (et non le second comme il est écrit dans le catalogue d’H. Omont, p. 85). Le second tome est l’actuel Paris. gr. 2755, livre dans lequel le Manuel d’Héphestion est l’œuvre de Michel Souliardos.
