Les Arabes désignent généralement le premier de ces traités par un titre syriaque, Mîamîr, qui signifie « les discours »; ils conservent au second le titre grec, Κατὰ γένη. Mais l'auteur de cette traduction rend κατὰ τόπος par بحسب المواضع. Le présent ms. a été examiné et annoté par feu le Dr Daremberg et par M. Renan. Il manque le commencement, la fin et plusieurs cahiers au milieu. Un certain nombre de feuillets sont mutilés, d'autres transposés et renversés ; écriture maghrebine-espagnole.
