Le manuscrit, produit en Angleterre, a appartenu à l’abbaye d’Echternach, où il a reçu la mention du contenu, ensuite grattée, du f. 1r (XVe siècle : titre « Continet Ieronimi in Ysaiam prophetam » et cote « B 5 »). En octobre 1802, il fut prélevé par dom Jean-Baptiste Maugérard (cf. n° 80 des manuscrits envoyés à Paris : cf. BnF, département des Manuscrits, Archives Modernes 497) et il entra ainsi à la Bibliothèque Nationale.Sur le deuxième feuillet de garde supérieure, note de Gilbert Ouy : « Ce volume a longtemps porté à la suite d’une erreur la cote 9527, sous laquelle il est désigné, notamment, dans les C.L.A. de Lowe. L’erreur a été corrigée en mars 1958 ».
Ms. restauré en 2017 grâce au mécénat de la Fondation Polonsky (dossier BnF 2018-041669-01).
