Chacune des deux pièces a été transcrite par un copiste différent qui ont cependant travaillé pour la même personne. Selon le colophon au f. 217, le premier scribe, Halafta ben Abraham né à Marseille et habitant Pérouse (Italie), a achevé sa copie à Mondovì (Italie) le 28 sivane 5196 / 1436. La seconde unité textuelle est de la main de Samuel Rivat. Ces deux copies étaient destinées à un dénomé Maître Joseph Ferrer, médecin résidant à Ancône.
