  • Résumé : CCCC MS 354 contains a c. 1500 copy of the translation into English by John of Trevisa (c. 1342-1402) of the Polychronicon by Ranulf Higden OSB (d. 1364). Described by M. R. James as 'a very shabby ugly little book', this workaday copy is in marked contrast to the luxurious copy of the Latin original that Parker also possessed (CCCC MS 21), though both reflect his interest in English history. The provenance of this manuscript is unknown.
