Origine: italienne humanistique ronde. D’après R. Sabbadini, Storia e critica..., p. 123, ce manuscrit formait avec le ms. Naples, Bibl. Naz., IV.B.43 contenant le Brutus, un seul et même volume, copié pour Gasparino Barzizza († 1431) par Raimondo de Crémone, d’après la première transcription aujourd’hui perdue que ce copiste avait faite du manuscrit découvert à Lodi en 1421, également perdu aujourd’hui, Raimondo de Crémone note au f. 192 v°: «Ex uetustissimo codice libri tres de oratore ad Q. fratrem, item orator ad M. Brutum transcripti perfectique expliciunt et ad exemplar emendati. Deo gratias » (éd. R. Sabbadini, op. cit., p. 124).
Possesseurs: Gasparino Barzizza (cf. supra, Origine); Girolamo Contarini, de Venise, dont l’ex-libris du f. 195 a été barré: «Liber est mei Hieronymi Contarini »; un certain Niccolò, non identifié (XVIe s.?) dont le nom à moitié gratté se lit partiellement au f. 195: «Nicolo del quale...»; Ulrich Fugger (au f. 1 cote: 253 Hen.); bibliothèque palatine de Heidelberg (au f. 1 cote concernant l’édition Gruter: «Pal sec. quartus » (cf. supra, Pal. lat. 1459) et cote du transfert: C. 38/152).
