Origine: française, petites écritures assez soignées, quelques a semi-onciaux, les f. 148-155 sont d’une autre écriture plus petite, titres en capitales rustiques, quelques uns en capitales carrées, parfois avec E oncial; les gloses sont d'une fine écriture, étroite et allongée, légèrement penchée, avec des a ouverts, d'une encre jaunie. Note du copiste, le clerc Ioab (?), au f. 165v°: «QVI SCRIBERE NESCIT NVLLVM SCRIBENDO PVTAT ESSE LABOREM. ΥωΑΒ INDIG‹NVS› CL‹ERICVS›».
Possesseurs: d'après A. Wilmart, op. cit. infra, 1932, le manuscrit a peut-être appartenu au prieuré de Saint-Vivant-sous-Vergy, dont Jean Jouffroy avait été le doyen; le cardinal Jean Jouffroy († 1473), dont le nom est inscrit au bas du f. 2: «Jo. Joffridi» avec paraphe; le manuscrit est attesté dans les inventaires de 1475, 1481 (f. 52v°, l. 17-18), omis dans l'inventaire de 1518 et attesté de nouveau dans les inventaires de 1553 et 1550 (où il portait le n° 868).
