Origine: italienne, écritures humanistiques rondes; addition du f. 156 en écriture humanistique cursive. Le premier copiste, Bartolomeo de Recco, copia les f. 1-70 à Gênes en 1453 d’après la souscription du f. 70: «COMMENTARIORVM BELLI GALLICI LIBER A BARTHOLOMEO DE RECHO DESCRIPTVS GENVE INCEPTVS RVRI EXTREMAM MANVM ACCEPI M° CCCC° L° TERTIO DIE XX° III° SEPTEMBRIS».
Possesseurs: au f. 1, dans la marge de droite, blason dessiné à la plume accroché à un arbre: de... à une fasce de... brochant sur quatre fusées de...; Celso Cittadini, qui a folioté et annoté le manuscrit; le cardinal Barberini (n° antico 1963).
