• Résumé : CCCC MS 357 contains two distinct volumes. The first is a unique late fifteenth- or early sixteenth-century copy of the translation into English by John Skelton (c. 1460-1529) of the Latin translation by Poggio Bracciolini (1380-1459) of the first five books of the Bibliotheca historica by Diodorus Siculus (fl. 60-30 B.C.). The second is a late fourteenth-century text of the sermon of Thomas Wimbledon (d. after 1388), Redde racionem villacionis tue, preached at St Paul's Cross in 1387 or 1388. The name 'Robert Pen' inscribed in the manuscript probably refers to a Gentleman of the Royal Chapel under Henry VII and Henry VIII.
