Traduction persane abrégée d'un traité arabe d'Abū l-Wafā M. b. M b. Yaḥyà al-Būzaǧānī (328H./940-387-8H./997-8) (cf. f. 141v). Divisée en une muqaddima et 12 bāb, dont la table figure f. 141v. Elle s'achève (f. 178v-9v) par une postface de celui qui a mis en ordre le texte et tracé les figures, Abū Isḥāq b.ʿAbd-ullāh Kūbanānī Yazdī [connu aussi sous le nom de Šayẖzāda H̱ādim Burhānī, mathématicien et astronome actif en 846H./1442-3 à Sārī, puis en 863H./1459 à Kirmān, à Hormūz, etc. ; comp. Munzavī, I, p. 143, 152, 318, 368 ; Dānišgāh, IX, p. 1052-6 ; Mīkrūfīlmhā, I, n° 1459 (25), p. 604]. Il y invoque son maître Šams al-Dīn Abū Bakr Šāh b. Naǧm al-Dīn Maḥmūd Šāh b. Ḥāǧǧī Tāǧ al-Dīn. Il a terminé son travail en deux mois, dans les épreuves, après avoir eu la peine de perdre son frère le savant Šayẖ Naǧm al-Dīn Maḥmūd, auteur d'un commentaire de l'Almageste, de gloses sur les Sphériques de Ménélas, et d'autres ouvrages ; il avait entrepris la traduction de ce livre, et c'est à lui qu'est dédié ce travail.
